Papertrey February Blog Hop Challenge”.

Hi Everyone,

Here is my card for the February Blog Hop by Papertrey Ink. We are still getting lots of snow, and we’ll probably have at least another month of winter to go. So I’m still celebrating with snow cards.

I used the snow flakes from the Snowfall stamp set from Papertrey and Spring Rain cardstock and polka dot ribbon. I saw the sentiment on a pillow, so I copied it into Word and printed it out.

Lime Green/Navy Card

Hi Everyone,

Here are two cards for a challenge by Denami Design using Lime Green and Navy. The most exciting part of the cards is the double bows that I made. The stamps are from Denami.

I am almost at the end of making Mother’s Day cards for this year. I’ll be sending off at least 160 to Operation Write Home in the next week. I like to make a lot of Mother’s Day cards since it is the biggest “send a card” day for everyone. This way all our heroes get to have a nice card to send home.

Snowflake Card

Hi Everyone,
Here is a really cute winter card–it captures the mood of most of the country, as we are buried in snow day after day. I’m one of the lucky ones who likes snow, so it’s okay with me.

This card uses Papertrey Ink’s Snowfall stamp for the snowflakes, Spring Rain (Papertrey Ink) cardstock, and the matching polka dot ribbon. Papertrey Ink’s ribbon is so nice to work with–love it! I got the sentiment from a pillow, so I typed it into Word and printed it out. No stamp has that saying that I know of.

Enjoy!

Hi Everyone,

Here are a few cards I have made recently. Actually, Christmas cards were due in October 31, so I’m now working on Valentine’s Day cards, or other every day cards.

Blue Love You Card

Hi Everyone,

Today I have a card that is created from the SU! Simple Friendship stamp set. I stamp the flourish, then add a few flowers around the card, and add a bow. It takes a little longer to make because the flowers need to be cut out.

Blue and Green Love You Card

Blue and Green Love You Card

I used the Simple Friendship SU! stamp set and Old Olive cardstock and ink. For the blue cardstock I used Papertrey Ink Spring Rain and their ink to match. The ribbon is from Michaels. The “love you” sentiment is SU!s Short and Sweet set. This is a great set to own because the sentiments are perfect for small spaces.

Memorial Day Blog Hop

Memorial Day Blog Hop

Hi and Welcome to my blog. You should be arriving from Melanie’s Scrappily Ever After
This is a pretty simple card to make, since I love “Clean and Simple.” Hope you like it.

I have been making cards for our heroes for about a year, and what a great experience. I am so thankful for all those who work behind the scenes making all this happen. I am also planning on posting a “card a day” this year, so if you like my cards, please bookmark and come back often to get some great ideas.

Red White and Blue I Love You Card

You can make this cards pretty quickly–using the two SU! star stamps, some red and navy paper, and the ribbon is from Michael’s.

The next blog on the hop is at Caryl’s. Thank you for stopping by. And thanks in advance for any nice comment. You all are the greatest!

Sending Wishes Cards

This card turned out so great–I love the purple/red combination. The flourishes are from My Time Made Easy and the purple polka dot paper is from PaperTrey Ink. I printed the sentiment on my computer since I didn’t have a stamp. The red bow is from my stash from Michael’s.

This is the same card using the brown polka dot/red combination. I saw this combination a lot at Christmas time, and thought it makes a nice masculine card.

Pink Thinking of You Card

Hi Everyone,

I made this card using the “grass” from the With Sympathy stamp set from PaperTrey Ink. The stamped flowers are from the same set, but the cut out flowers are from the Boho Blossom punch and the One of a Kind stamp set, both from Stampin Up!. I really wish they made more of these types of stamp/punch combinations.

Enjoy!

March Cards

Hi Everyone,

Here are just a few cards I made this month.  I concentrated on making Mothers Day cards since the deadline for them is April 1.  I always make a few cards for birthdays and general cards, since those needs never have deadlines.  I hope you enjoy these cards.

Pink/Green For You

Pink/Green For You

This card uses the SU Boho Blossom punch with the three flowers in the One of a Kind stamp set.  It’s great to have the punch match the stamps!! I used  Pretty in Pink  and Mellow Moss ink.  The ribbon is from Michael’s.

Pink/Green Love You

Pink/Green Love You

This is such an easy card to make.  I use the flourish from the SU Christmas tree set and the flowers are stamped using the SU One of a Kind stamp set and cut out with the Boho Blossoms.  I cut a pink rectangle 1.75″ x 4.25″ and adhere the bow to it before gluing it onto the card.    The Love You is from the SU tiny words stamp set.  That set is so versatile because the sentiments can fit in anywhere on a card.

Purple/Green Mothers Day

Purple/Green Mothers Day

This is similar to the Pink/Green card above, but this time it’s using Almost Amethyst ink and a lavender bow from Michaels.  The sentiment is one of the new clear SU stamps that were just released.  This is a really nice set with lots of useful sentiments, and it’s great that they are now clear, so you can see exactly where they appear on your card.

Purple/Green Birthday Wishes

Purple/Green Birthday Wishes

This card is similar to the ones above it.  I used the scallop punch to cut out the Birthday Wishes stamp.  I used Old Olive for the green at the bottom of the card, and lavender ribbon from Michael’s for the bow.

Olive Green/Dark Purple Birthday

Olive Green/Dark Purple Birthday

This card uses the SU Garden Green stamp set and Old Olive cardstock.  I found some ribbon at Michael’s that matches the green–it actually looks better in real life.  But as you can imagine, this is a really easy card to make.

Purple Sympathy Card

Purple/Garden Green Sympathy Card

This card is made with my favorite PTI stamp set.  It’s so easy to use, and looks so nice in every color combination.  This is the set that was available last year at CHA to anyone who spent more than $100 at the PTI booth.  If you didn’t go to CHA, you could buy it for megabucks on ebay–if you were the lucky winner.

Pink/Green

Pink/Green Flower

Green/Aqua Friend Card

Green/Aqua Friend Card

I think the color on this card is Baja Blue, which has a lot of green in it.  I love making this card, but you need patience because you have to cut out the flowers.  Anyway, it’s an SU stamp.  The brads are from Michael’s and just happen to match nicely.  After I cut out the flowers, I color the centers just a little to make it a l ittle different.  The little flower is from the Season of Joy stamp set.  It’s actually a small poinsettia, but it will pass as a spring flower on this card.

Aqua Always on my Mind

Aqua Always on My Mind

My favorite thing about this card is the sentiment.  These are SU words that are uneven–it makes it so easy to stamp and not worry about whether they are on the card straight or not.
