Hi Everyone,

Here is a card that I made for the Denami Sketch Challenge. The stamps are all from Denami Design, as are the rhinestones.

Purple Love Card

Hi Everyone,

Here is my submission for the Denami Design Spring Challenge today. I actually used four Denami stamps in this card, the large and small daisies, the vine and the “love” stamp. This card is really purple, but when I try to photograph it, it seems to show up more blue. Anyway, it looks better in purple, and, of course, better in real life.

Violet Mother’s Day

Hi Everyone,

Here is another card for the Less is More challenge. It’s a real struggle to keep this card to one layer. I picked up the stamp last night at Michael’s. I thought it looked like spring, and since we’re getting closer to that here, I thought it would make great Mothe’rs Day cards. So here it is:

Less is More

Hi Everyone,

While surfing through the Operation Write Home blog hop I found this hop that is perfect for the cards that I make, the Less is Moore and they are having a “Less is More” challenge, featuring pastels, which are also my favorite–especially at this time of the year. So give them a look, they have lots of great cards in their contest.

Here is the card I am submitting. The flowers are from My Time Made Easy I love their stamps. I used the sentiment from Papertrey Ink’s Delightful Dalia stamp set and the paper and ink is from Stampin Up. The bow is from Michael’s.

More Mother’s Day Cards

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the hop. I made these cards using Papertrey Ink’s Delightful Dalia stamps, which is one of my faves. There is a matching die, which makes it super easy to cut out the perfect flower and leaves. The paper is random aqua paper and the ink is ColorBox aqua. I got the ribbon at Michael’s last weekend, but when I went back to get more, it was gone. The gold card is the same, but I used Papertrey’s Sunrise dotted ribbon to make the bow.

I love feminine cards, and I think this is definitely feminine for some heroe’s mother.

I hope you have arrived at my site from Jennifer’s blog and now you get to proceed to another Jennifer’s blog:

The next stop on the blog hop today is Jennifer’s blog at Jennifer’s Blog. She has a very fun Easter card for you to make.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Mother’s Day and Birthday Cards

Hi Everyone,

I have a few new cards today–mostly Mothers Day and birthday cards. It’s been fun to work with spring colors these days. It seems winter just keeps dragging on–thirty some more days until it should be over. So here they are:

Mothers Day Cards

Hi Everyone,

I started Mothers Day cards this month. Thought I’d put a few of them up. I’m into purple these days, the darker the better. There are more purple ones I’ll be putting up later. This card is really purple, but the lighting captures it as a navy blue. {strange}

Mothers’ Day Cards

Hi Everyone,

I’ve been snowed in, so it’s been a great time to make some Mothers’ Day cards for our troops.  As I’ve explained on other posts, I make these cards for OperationWriteHome.  Once I send the cards to a shipper, they sort them and send them to any base in Afghanistan, Iraq, U.S. Navy ships–you get the idea.  I have until April 1 to get some Mothers’ Day cards together, so I’ve been making a lot of these. Oftentimes when I find a design I like, I make 15 or 20 of them, since they will eventually go to different places.  So here are some of the cards that I’ve been making.  In all fairness, I scraplifted this design from a site from the UK, Mainly Flowers.  That’s where I get a lot of my ideas.

Purple Mother's Day

This is one of my favorite cards that I made for Mothers’ Day.  It was just a coincidence that the flower was perfectly centered.  The floral paper is from the Tea Party DSP from SU and the stamp is from SU’s clear stamp collection. The ribbon and blue card stock are from Michael’s.  I cut the white center paper 2″ x 5.5″, then used the Martha Stewart punch on both sides.  I start at one end, then when I turn the strip of paper to the other side, I make sure the points line up before beginning.  That way, I get a nice, professional-looking strip.

On this card, I used the Martha Stewart lace punch and some Old Olive cardstock, along with the Tea Party DSP from SU.  I like to use the lace punch sparingly, so it doesn’t look too old fashioned on cards.

Yellow Mother's Day

The yellow stripe is from the Tea Party DSP, and the yellow is just random cardstock.  The Mothers’ Day stamp is from SU’s newest clear stamp collection that was just released in January.  You’ll notice I don’t have a lot of variety with Mothers’ Day stamps.  I’ll have to buy more before next year.

Pink/White Mother's Day

The pink/white cardstock is, once again, from the Tea Party DSP from SU.  The ribbon is Pretty in Pink from SU.  The rest of the card uses the MS punch and just some matching pink cardstock from my stash.  I cut some of the white strips a little narrower, maybe 1.5″ to use the 3/8″ Pretty in Pink ribbon I used from SU.

Red/White Mother's Day

Red/White Mother's Day

This card is probably my least favorite, maybe because of the colors.  I used the SU punch for the blossoms and the stamp from SU.  It’s just an okay card.  I think the ribbon is from Michael’s, and it does match the red cardstock nicely.

Pink/Green Mothers' Day

I love how the bow turned out on this one.  It’s just ribbon I got from Michael’s.  Usually I try to get the ribbon when it’s half off so I can have a lot to choose from to match different colors.  The rest of the card is made from the Tea party DSP and the new clear stamps released by SU.

Green/White Mothers' Day

I am really liking this green/white combination.  The paper, once again, is from the Tea Party DSP and the ribbon is from Michael’s.  It looks like a pretty good match.
